Tasting Room Manager

Warwick Farm Brewing is seeking a full-time Tasting Room Manager with initiative to assist in the launch and success of our new Tasting Room/ Biergarten planned to open summer 2021. Candidates must be professional, articulate, hard-working, strong leaders who can handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.  The position requires an outgoing, well organized, self-motivated and disciplined individual who loves craft beer and is focused on the customer’s experience.  

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Tasting Room
  • Ensure efficient operations in the Tasting Room, which includes staffing and scheduling, a solid understanding of COGS and inventory procedures, implementing safety regulations and promoting sales
  • Open/Close Tasting Room – weekend and weekday shifts
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and training of all Tasting Room employees.
  • Ensure Tasting Room facilities are fully functioning on a daily basis, while identifying areas for improvement
  • Work closely with WFB General Manager to:
    • Receive beer deliveries at the Tasting Room
    • Maintain proper beer inventory levels
    • Update Tasting Room printed menus as needed
    • Develop training and refresher training program for Tasting Room staff and schedule periodic training sessions
    • Ensure all Tasting Room staff are knowledgeable on all WFB craft brew styles and current weekly offerings
    • Track and forecast supply needs; i.e. glassware, cleaning supplies, gift cards, retail items
    • Conduct inventory as needed – weekly and/or monthly based on area of responsibility
    • Provide daily oversight and report of cash on hand, including prepping deposits and placing change orders as needed
    • Ensure all Tasting Room employees have completed assigned safety training in compliance with Brewers Association.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the Tasting Room is in accordance with WFB standards and maintained at all times
    • Work with security to ensure only guests of legal age are permitted on the premises during volume hours

The ideal candidate for Warwick Farm Brewing Tasting Room Manager will be:

  • Self-motivated to strive for the highest standards of excellence within the Tasting Room
  • A strong leader who can multitask
  • Flexible to work a rotating schedule as business needs fluctuate
  • Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours). Able to bend, stoop, twist, and lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Experienced with sales/CRM software (preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Able to pass the Certified Beer Server Exam
  • Proficient with POS systems such as SQUARE/Arryved
  • Able to adopt Warwick Farm’s core values
  • 21 Years or older
  • High School Graduate
